I learned recently that a new friend of mine has been living with his son’s drug-related schizophrenia for the last 4 years. He also has a daughter, who suffers from this massive shift in her family’s reality.
What do you say to your child who genuinely believes that you abused them when they were younger? How do you support your healthy daughter who is struggling to come to terms with the “loss” of the brother she used to know. How do you balance that, with running a business and supporting your colleagues every day?
For me, it was a fierce reminder, that no matter where you go, everybody has a story. Everybody has a different reason for being.
Once again, I invite you to watch “Starting a Conversation” and spend a few minutes thinking about what you might do, if you realised someone you love needed help.

But whatever you do, please, keep talking.
